Researchers find 69 per cent of people feel trapped in the same old routine and over 40 per cent are unhappy with their lives.
Just three in 10 people feel ‘happy with their lives’
- How can you find something that you are interested in to overcome Boredom?
If you feel like you’ve been stuck in a rut for such a long time, it can be a really hard task to change your mindset and think about what actually makes you happy, when it feels like a lifetime ago when you were happy.
My advice, with Science to back it up; Meditate on it.
- What does it mean to Meditate?
Oxford Dictionary meaning of Meditate- ‘Think deeply about (something)’ To Meditate is a very simple task, but not always easy, if you find it hard to switch off, or if you’ve never Meditated before, don’t know how or where to start, enjoy my short Guided Meditation video here
You will not find the answers from other people. You can be inspired by their stories, but only you know what is best for you. George Lucas (Creator of Star Wars) explains why it is important not to listen to your piers or your parents or teachers in this video (fast forward to 6:58 for this). He also defines ‘Joy & Pleasure’, which I can only describe as a cure for unhappiness (skip to 08:29 for this)
You are not alone, Whether you’re a University Graduate feeling bored in life or a Retired pensioner feeling confused about their direction in life, 2 completely different women’s ends of the spectrum in my Meditation class. Despite the difference in age, there’s a big similarity; They haven’t found what they love,
Steve Jobs says- If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking, don’t settle”
